La Maison et ses Chambres…
Les Chambres
Four lodgings are available at La Maison des Mots Residency. Two are set up for bed & breakfast (Chambre d’Hôte), two for self-catering. Guests have access to the Courtyard, Salon, Library, and Garden for eating and lounging. For the best experience of the Maison des Mots, La Charité, and surrounds, I really recommend a minimum 3 night stay.
All chambres are Superior rooms - et oui - the beds and linens are top notch.
Amenities: Non-Smoking House & Courtyard (puffing permitted in the Jardin) Hair-Dryer, Soap & Shampoo, Wifi, Iron and Board. Laundry service available for 7.50 euros a wash and dry. Pricing includes VAT & Tourist Tax, as well as Guest Services (links for booking activities, organizing car rental, taxi services etc.)
Les Chambres d’Hôte (Bed & Breakfast)
The second floor of the house (le premier étage) hosts the Chambre d’Hôte guest rooms. Chambre one, Colette, has a Double Bed and large Bathroom. Chambre two, George Sand, has a Double Bed, Bathroom, and an anteroom with a Single Bed.
Chambre d’Hôte DELUXE (B&B) the price per person is 135 euros per night, which includes a light evening meal on day of arrival (apéro dînatoire), breakfast (petite déjeuner) each morning, and apéro each evening at 18h00.
Chambre d’Hote SIMPLE (B&B) the price per person is 105 euros per night - or 190 euros per couple - and includes a continental breakfast.
Minimum night stay for the above is 3 nights.
If you wish to stay 2 nights only, the price per person for Chambre d’Hote Deluxe is 150 euros per person. The price per person for the Chambre d’Hote simple is 130 euros per night or 240 euros each night per couple.
Self-Catering
For those who desire self-catering, there are two options. Piaf-a-terre - les Mots d’amour occupies the top floor of the house (le deuxième étage). The apartment includes a master bedroom with Queen Bed, and second bedroom with a Single Bed. Alongside the two chambres, there is also a Kitchen, Salon, and Bathroom with bath and handheld shower.
5 nights - 195 per night.
7 nights - 180 per night.
PLEASE NOTE that Piaf-a-terre is available for long stays of up to 3 months. If you are interested, please send me a message and we can create the perfect scenario for your long stay desire.
For larger travelling parties, the two B&B guest rooms, Chambre Colette and Chambre George Sand can be reserved in combination with Piaf-a-terre as a single self-catered group booking. Reduced room rates apply.
Alternatively, for solo travelers, by the garden you’ll find the wee yet charming Atelier, a cozy studio complete with kitchenette. The Atelier includes a shower, however the toilet is accessed via the courtyard just down the stairs. The Atelier is available for a minimum 5 night stay at 75 euros per night. If you wish to stay longer than 7 nights, the rate is 70 euros per night.

La Maison
The ground floor (rez-de-chausée) houses the common spaces which include the Salon, Toilette, and Library which opens onto the tranquil private Courtyard where you can enjoy meals and lounging. From the Courtyard, a flight of stairs leads you up past the Atelier to my treasured Garden. The large Cuisine and Salle-à-Manger on the Ground Floor are reserved for Culinary Classes and Private Dining (to be arranged in advance by interested parties).
