Les Chambres

Four lodgings are available at La Maison des Mots Residency. Three chambres are set up Chambre d’ote (B&B), The Atelier on the Garden is self-catering. Guests have access to the courtyard, salon, and garden for eating and lounging. For the best experience of the Maison des Mots, La Charité, and surrounds, I really recommend a minimum 3 night stay. Standard pricing for all of the rooms is based on 3-5 nights.

The second floor of the house (le premier étage) hosts the guest rooms. Chambre one, Colette, has a double bed and large bathroom room. Chambre two, George Sand, has a double bed, bathroom, and an anteroom with a single bed. Chambre three, Proust, has a Queen bed, and bath with hand-held shower.

For the Chambre d’hote (B&B) the price per person is 125 euros per night, includes petite dejeuner, arriving day light meal (apero dinatoire), and apero (libation) each evening at 18h00. If you wish to stay 2 nights, the price is 150 euros per person.

Alternatively, for solo travellers, by the garden you’ll find the wee yet charming Atelier, complete with kitchenette. The Atelier includes a shower, however the toilet is accessed via the courtyard just down the stairs. Standard pricing is 75 euros per night with reduced rates for stays longer than 3 nights.

All Chambres are Superior rooms - et oui - the beds and linens are top notch.
Amenities: Non-Smoking House & Courtyard (puffing permitted in the Jardin) Hair-Dryer. Soap & Shampoo. Wifi. Iron and Board.
Pricing includes VAT & Tourist Tax, as well as Guest Services (links for booking activities, organizing car rental, taxi services etc.)

For bookings, please write to me with your desired room and dates, and I’ll get back to you shortly.

La Maison

The ground floor (RC) houses the common spaces which include the Salon, Toilette, and Cook’s Library which opens onto the tranquil private Courtyard where you can enjoy meals and lounging. From the Courtyard, a flight of stairs leads you up past the Atelier to my treasured Garden. The large Cuisine and Salle-à-Manger on the Ground Floor are reserved for Culinary Classes and Private Dining (arranged in advance by interested parties).
